All the blends in this trio have two things in common: they are 50% Arabica beans and 50% Robusta beans and they taste fabulous!

Try these three well-balanced blends and see for yourself how good they are. Because Robusta does not mean "inferior" quality. Many experienced master roasters support this view. In addition, more and more coffee lovers are discovering the advantages of a high Robusta content. 100% Robusta blends are also extremely popular. Of course, the quality must be there.

Robusta beans bring with them an incredible number of great properties and characteristics that cannot be achieved with a pure Arabica blend. Espresso coffee gains depth and volume. The aromas of tobacco, dark chocolate, malt, caramel and woody notes really bring out the floral and fruity notes of the Arabica beans. You also get a more intense and long-lasting crema on your coffee.

And for those who like to drink cappuccino and the like, you can count on a greater expression and strength of the beans here.

Robusta beans also contain a lot more caffeine than Arabica beans, which gives the blends an extra punch / kick.

Robusta beans are roasted gently and slowly, which also eliminates the slightly more pronounced bitterness.

A relatively high proportion of Robusta is therefore not a bad thing.

The three blends in our assortment use the best characteristics of both varieties and combine them perfectly in a coffee that is nothing short of divine.

 

Ottolina Maracaibo Top - 1000g beans

Composition: 50% Arabica / 50% Robusta

This espresso was named after the beautiful port city in Venezuela. It is strong and yet very balanced. Its character is surprisingly complex despite the high proportion of Robusta. This complexity is created by the long and gentle roasting process. Each bean variety has its own requirements and therefore receives special treatment.

The Arabica beans come from the highlands of Brazil. Three varieties were used for the robusta beans. These come from India, Java and Vietnam. The noble Arabicas impart a mild sweetness and fruitiness. This is in a pleasant relationship to the strong notes from the robusta beans.

In addition to notes of dark chocolate and marzipan, they also give the cup a dense crema with tiger stripes. This espresso stands for a perfect balance, which is only achieved by very few coffees to this extent.

 

Mokaflor BLU - 1000g beans

Composition: 50% Arabica / 50% Robusta

The BLU from the traditional roaster Mokaflor combines the mildness of Brazilian Arabicas with the intensity and structure of Far Eastern Robusta beans. This very strong blend is ideal for all types of preparation with milk. Cappuccino and latte macchiato become a delight with Mokaflor BLU.

The coffee is roasted in a so-called "separation process". This means that each type of bean is refined separately, taking into account its ideal roasting point. The roasting, as with all our blends, is done gently and slowly in a drum roaster. The result is a blend with punch, low acidity and a slight sweetness.

 

Oro Caffè Italian Style - 1000g beans

Composition: 50% Arabica / 50% Robusta

All beans are roasted gently and slowly, variety by variety, to preserve their characteristics. The coffee beans are quickly cooled with cold air instead of the usual water. Air cooling ensures that the flavours are retained and do not absorb unnecessary moisture.

Full-bodied coffee with a nice crema.

Enjoy this premium coffee as a tasty espresso or as a base for a cappuccino or latte macchiato.
